Sometimes in order to want a stable foundation you’ll have to sacrifice some things, like your ego, or like your old self, your old beliefs, your old way of thinking, bad habits, toxic relationships, negative thoughts about yourself. This is very much about yourself in particular. So this is more about killing your old self in order to get born into a better self. A self that doesn’t react in the same ways you used to, a self that thinks before it speaks, or doesn’t react at all if not necessary. A self that is focused on what’s essential and not superficial. A self that focuses on its wellbeing and minds its own business, not someone who is more curious about others than themselves.
