You can’t call someone a friend just because you get along with them. You have to built connection, and not just be patient but also take the time to actually know them. It’s literally a choice you make. It’s up to you, to create a friendship that is going to last a lifetime. When healthy and strong foundations are built, it brings long term benefits, success and certainty. You’re part of the community you create. Considering someone as a friend very early on, is most likely superficial and unstable as well. I understand the desire to want to have friends, but like any other relationship, as I said, it takes time and effort. If the person is meant to be your lifelong friend, they will be.
